You know, I never really liked their records, but when I was dragged to one of their shows, circa 1984-85, Soul Asylum put on one of the most energetic, raucous performances I've ever seen.

this was before they had their first EP out on T&G, so maybe they've gotten a lot better with touring and all, but what i saw of them live was cringeworthy.
