Hey. What number do you have? Ive had many people ask about adjusting the pickups heights, please pardon me not knowing. That bridge is the same one Ive used since day 1, yours is first Ive heard of problems. Theres a few other things you could try, "blue" locktite. Its made to hold unless made to move, like a superglue that will come undone. I do not recommend oversizing the holes by the way. If youd like I could always send you a new bridge. Super glue will work, but only use the smallest amount possible. Are all the strings falling or just some? If for some reason those tapped holes are a bit oversize from the factory, it could just be loose enough to wiggle down. The pickups, I have had 1 person file under the pickups on the Channel to Adjust to their liking. Its pretty easy you just need to be careful. Its really hard to adjust them out to everyones liking, thats the evil catch of the hard mounting. Id be more than happy to split the shipping for you to send it back and I can fix it. Its up to you. I am sorry, but we can make it right. Please email me and we can figure it out.

One last thing. After thinking about it, if the string is hitting the pu cover after the 14th fret, it seems the pu cover might be loose or something. Before sending anyone out it gets played and tested on all strings up the entire neck. I wouldnt have sent one out that was bottoming out on the cover. Check that, perhaps its loose, maybe not to the touch, but it might have shifted. The strings should line up. They might be a hair off to one side or the other, but nothing where it looks screwed up. it sounds like something is up with that pu.

I really think you need to pull the guard off and have a look inside. Remove the bridge and pickguard screws and it should all lift off. Theres enough slack in the lead wires to let you flip the guard over. If you find nothing, then machining or filing will be the next step. All you need to take at most is .01-.03 of an inch. Its not much at all, not even a 16th. I still say something shifted with the pickup. I do get them close, but they dont touch.

Hello Kevin,

It is guitar number 44. I contacted you a couple of months ago regarding the pickup height.
The Vibra-tite I use is a similar product to the blue Lok-tite, it semi-sets to a jelly consistency and does not become a permanent fix (I use it on rally cars to secure anything not mechanically critical or stressed).
It is mainly the high 'E' and 'B' that wiggle down, as you said, it could be oversized threads in the saddles.

I will send a picture of bridge pickup position. I have had the pickups out hoping they were sat on shims to achieve the correct height (wishful thinking), I did not notice the covers being loose. I will check again.

Cheers,

AP
