Kramer Aluminum guitars.

Has anyone ever seen a Kramer with an original painted/imron coated neck? Or one with a solid aluminum neck/no inserts on either side of the neck? I'm trying to figure out what this person has. Looks to be in extremely good shape, 350B, has the early 'Kramer' etched pickup cover, but the neck is all one color and even the headstock is painted front and back. I've asked for some more pics, but I figured I'd check with the experts first.

In regards to my post a few weeks ago about a Kramer aluminum neck bass with a painted/Imron coated neck; https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kramer-Aluminum-Bass-Neck-1970s-Vintage-Black-Finish-Travis-Bean-EGC-Bolt-On/142775512810?hash=item213e156eea:g:QZQAAOSwgARa5TPXThis is not the same neck that I was looking at, but another black Kramer neck. The seller states that about 40 of these were make by Kramer specifically for the Canadian market. I had never seen one, but now I've come across 2 in a month. Interesting. Looks like it must be a quality paint (like Imron) as both examples I have seen were not very nicked or chipped up.

Small world. I just bought a 350G on Reverb (I have a bunch of Kramers, EGCs, etc.) - and ... it's this one. Exact same guitar. Looks like it changed hands on Reverb a few times over the years. Anyway, it's found its way to a home. "Good" being in the eye of the beholder.Matthewchrisc wrote:This one's mine. It looks like it had a Bigsby in at one point that has been covered up by fret markers. I can't tell if it's walnut or koa. The weirdest part is that I live in Denver, CO having recently moved from Denton, TX. I bought this one in CO, and it had a pack of strings in it from my favorite pawn shop in Denton in the case. The case is just garbage. The neck has no place to rest in so it just bangs around in there. It can take it. I'm headed to Texas this weekend and snagging a Kramer bass while I'm there that's been leaning against a wall in the old practice space for some 2004 prices.

The sound quality wasn't amazing but was just so fun. I sold it when I was skint once and have regretted it ever since.Yes!! My buddy had one of those Alien basses when we were in high school. Wouldn't mind having one if the price was right. I'm not paying what I just saw one for on Reverb, though. I kinda want an Ibanez Iceman as well. The wife says I'm at max capacity on guitars right now....
