shucks.

Thanks, John. We were really happy w/ On Eagles' Wings. It was the first time we ever constructed a song while recording, as opposed to just tracking the band and doing overdubs. Orion (forum member oyrgawd), recorded and mixed it up nice and dandy in his apartment. There's an even better mix of it somewhere, but I don't think I ended up with the copy.

(En)joy to the world is really sloppy.

God, I love this song. I don't think I'd have the stones to sing it, though.

Ah!
Some video showed up of us doing Gary Numan.
Now there's incriminating evidence.

Of course the "hit" was filmed.

I don't. My brother takes care of the stones having. We do not do it near the level of justice it deserves, especially given that we are comprised of only a guitar and drums. We just play it very simply with little fanfare and augmented crescendo. It is fun, although slightly insulting to the original artists due to our hackery.

Two from my high school days that I forgot:
Banned From the Pubs - Peter and the Test Tube Babies
Last Year's Youth - Menace

Solo (.... ish): Map Ref 41degN 93degW, Wire; Cody, Mogwai...

Band-wise, I helped out some friends by playing bass in the pit band for a student musical; thankfully I can't remember the songs, but I do remember taking a solo in the middle of "Theme from 'Ghostbusters'".

Oh dear.

In my current bands...so far just one.

Helmet - Blacktop

I don't think a single person recognized it even though our version was similar, albeit sans vocals.

this song is beautiful.

to me, wire's strength was always in the arranging.
