1) trilonaut...are you seer-ious? just in general.
2) A lot of the songs that people would drop on this thread astound me. I was actually a little bit shocked by some of the choices. To each his own...but Christ I was surprised a couple times!

does anything i'm saying sound like a joke? i guess something does but i can't tell what or why. if people want to drop the topic, fine. am i serious in general? i don't know what you mean. how about "yes, but i also make jokes sometimes and i laugh too". calling a song misogynist and having a sense of humor are not mutually exclusive.

Does Black Flag honestly have a worse song?
How about everything on
Loose Nut?
I call bullshit.
Loose Nut is indeed overproduced. "Hey, guys, let's put reverb on everything!"
The only song on
Loose Nut, I could honestly do without is "Now She's Black," which is honestly more boring than awful. But come on. "I'm The One?" "Annihilate This Week?" "This Is Good?" all that shit rules. Perhaps even more so on
Who's Got The 10 1/2?Black Flag haters. Fuck y'all.
I love Black Flag, I just think
Loose Nut sucks. It's as if instead of releasing
Damaged, they'd just made "TV Party" and "Six Pack" a single and set that as their template. Shit like "Modern Man" is just horrendous. Chuck Dukowski should not have been allowed to write.

Athena - The Who
I saw them twice, once when this song was a hit on local radio. I was braced to have to listen through this monstrocity, but apparently the band themselves were none too keen on it, either. They never played it that night.

Dude..."The Gift" is awesome...and there would be a ridiculous hole in the
White Light/White Heat record.
I'm surpised no one has listed "The Murder Mystery" off of
The Velvet Underground. Far crappier than "The Gift", and at least with the gift you can always turn off one of the channels and just listen to the band.
"The Murder Mystery" completely kills the mood and flow that the rest of that record establishes.
I also back any nominations of "We Will Fall". Husker Du has a number of songs that blight otherwise great records: the last three songs on
New Day Rising, the last two songs on
Flip Your Wig, and worst of all, "Too Far Down" on
Candy Apple Grey. Fucking forest sounds on a Husker Du record? Put down the blow dudes.

"Modern Man" is a good song. Dukowski's worst song is that gae fucking "Machine" song.
"I'M NOT A MACHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE! I"M NOT A MACHIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE! AUTHORITY! BULLSHIT!"
Delete the fuck outta that song, please.
Also, I nominate "Rough Boy" by ZZ Top for deletion. I have never heard anything quite so gae.
