Every Shellac record, there's a couple songs that don't grab me. But like, whatever, like they care. The songs that DID get me, holy shit. I was almost shivering, especially that last song.
I got my record yesterday, store stocked 'em early. I am damn straight dedicated that RTI's doing my next 12".

103the spoken parts on "Genuine Lulabelle" kind of threw me, but this guy is excellent.

105ME TOO! I miss Martina! I was hoping it'd be on there. I tried to explain all that to my wife, which was ridiculous.
This is a wonderful record. "Be Prepaired" is genuinely gripping.
"End of Radio" is (as mentioned earlier) maybe my favorite Shellac song. Like, ever.
Thanks to Shellac for this great album!

106I especially like how the CD was just chucked in the front flap, without a slipcase.
So disrespectful to the digital medium.

107I like the leaving out of Martina and many other aspects of these songs that make them so great live. It makes it all the more special when they are played live and riffed-upon. Part of why I love seeing/hearing Shellac live is they so often deviate from the recorded versions of songs that it keeps things interesting.
You could always, you know, listen to the peel session again if you want Martina back.

i like the way there's nothing written on it too. was there was a separate pressing for the cd version?
i love this album already. it managed to suprise me. i wasn't expecting lullabelle. the vocals are so intimate.
steve's guitar sounds different, i think someone said less distorted. i didn't like it at first, but it seems to help the tone of the guitar comes through a bit more.
the bit in steady as she goes where the drums go into half time. the start of be prepared. spoke. awesome.
