We're supposed to get 8-12 inches of snow and ice today, our most substantial snowfall since the two-foot Xmas eve dump four years ago.

It's starting out as sleet, and the winds are absolutely fierce.

On the news today they were describing the storms as a "weather bomb". I thought of The Day Today and laughed.
