Yes, and Wetton's work on "The Gread Deceiver" live box is simply amazing.
I always liked Peter Hook as others stated. Many many songs but Dead Souls and 24 Hours comes to mind right now.

know the one i mean? i'm at work and can't find out
fall-fall heads roll-that one i mentioned on a fall thread and i still haven't remembered the name of it, the one with the delicious descending bass line....
most of queens bass lines are sublime
heart of the sunrise kicks my ass
there is a track off sonic nurse with a really simple fleetwood mac rumours era sounding bassline-track 3 or 4..just a simple subtle pounding one that drips with sex...
i should really start taking notice of song titles...

also most of the bass lines off j mascis & the fog 1st record. they sound amazing, that's what i call driving bass lines..like big warm lasers that take your feet from under you..
