I listened to this song a lot BEFORE I seriously got into music, and only recently came to realize that the guitar on this was a big influence on me, not that I paid attention to the individual elements back when I originally had this on all the time, Laurie Anderson's "Sharkey's Day".

I'm really getting memed but Castaways is awesome. I would watch Backyardigans for the music. The intro song is also fascinating.

Been listening to Chavez a lot lately. It was a band I always thought was just ok in situ but have really enjoyed as time goes on. Also, the first few Superchunk records are some feel-good jams. I guess I'm feeling kinda high school lately. Also. Lorn because I'm mixing a project that is similar and I didn't know how. If you are into borken electronics playing soundtrack music, it's not bad.

The Radiohead reappraisal continued this morning with OK Computer, followed by Kid A. They were...alright. Everything is very competent without scaling any heights. I was waiting for that big emotional peak (or trough), but nah. Probably preferred the former by a hair.

Don't recall the overarching forum opinion on EXEK, but I pretty well love the greater part of their output.
Their latest just dropped. Just listening now..
Edit: Not sure why the code is showing up for the embedded player ?
The channel this was uploaded to is on fire this last week, worth browsing it, lots of prog and kraut bootlegs. Live Can bootleg from 1972 including a thirty minute version of Spoon:
