I don't know many tweakers, but his posts didn't strike me as manic as I would expect....there was always the same tone, and it was authentic. Like your nephew who is REALLY FUCKING INTO FROGS and can just go on forever about them. No harm...just kinda really into some shit.

I'd say the dude showed signs of neurodivergence. Nothing wrong with that, but he was a long-winded cat.

I liked BD's posts, he had some interesting things to say over 10,000 word essays.

Nah people quit arguing with him years ago, and more or less let him do his long-winded thang (or ignored it which is also fine). His self-nuking was pretty abrupt.

If I had a foe, I would add them, it's a nice feature.

Sadly, I don't check-in enough to get a proper nemesis going for this iteration of the board.

I do miss you all quite a bit though.

Yeah that was my take as well. The only time I was legit annoyed by FMBD is when he recommended using lead sheets under drywall to soundproof home studios.

I've been incredibly sparing with the foe list here. I think the thing that will ultimately make me foe someone is less their tone or point of view, but more about approaching their online conversations as one-sided, which I guess isn't a conversation at all, so much as a lecture. I'm not really down for lectures

People can be pricks. People can take it too far. People can often lose perspective. The Foe feature has a lot of value. It's not so much about an echo chamber, as it is about allowing poison back into the well.

I rarely use the block feature on most websites outside of obvious scammers or bots. Maybe I should though. Getting kind of tired of the "just for lulz" troll personality. Most of the trolls here are not really like that, I think they just disagree heavily with the consensus opinions which is not enough for me to be bothered. Maybe if they constantly derailed threads.

FM hcain@onlyfans is a libertarian troll who faps it to Billy Corgan, but he doesn't really derail threads. I never really feel any need to block, but the histrionics of InMySoul77 brought me close.

I have considered using it several times, but never have. I just skip by the offending posts.

If I have trouble ignoring a certain post or forum member, it's probably time to get off the PRF for the day and do something else anyway.
