Three years as a legit employee at my office. Three Greasy smelly years of doing this, and that and sitting in my iso-cube getting fatter then i was before.

And i have been in this awful place for five years total, as a temp for two shitty years just prior to the 9-11 so they could still afford a loser like me to make the jump to real employee.

Anyway. I get this catalog a few months ago as a reward recognizing my diligence and whatever for the last three years. Its filled with weird, tuff to pin down the cost of items like, you know, a travel bar-b-q grill, some kitchen knives, a weird watch. I half expected to find those dreadful "turn your walkman into a stereo" speakers, or that weird cb radio for your dirt bike like when I was a kid you could get for selling magazines or seeds or something.

So i pick a cd/tape desk radio for my hard work. Sony? oh no... Coby. Yeah. You heard of Coby? Me neither, but I’ll be damned if I can take another year of having sold my desk top cd player to some dick on the first floor.

Anyway, it sucks. Will not play cd's all the way through without shitting the bed. Three years my ass.

OK, the work I do involves using CAD drawings of floor plans that Architects send us to use as backgrounds. Then we put our AV equipment on top to show where things go, and the boxes and conduit required to support it.

I JUST received a set of these drawing that our CAD guy plotted out...and there aren't ANY FUCKING ROOM NUMBERS on them!

WTF good are drawings without clear, legible room numbers? How the fuck am I supposed to identify where or what I'm looking for? I don't have shit that shows shit about where anything is!!! And this kind of thing happens all the goddamn time. At least 4 out of 5 sets of drawings he plots DOESN'T HAVE ANY FUCKING ROOM NUMBERS ON IT!

I've fucking had it! This happens far too often, and is the lazyest goddamn thing. This should be a CAD Guy 101 level practice going on here. This isn't some nitpicky fucking minutae I'm talking about! Let's get on the fucking ball, now! Jesus fucking fuck!

2. Hip Hop, "R&B", "Soul". What a depressing situation.

3. People who can't maintain good recording equipment. I recently had to run a session in a studio which was alien to me. The studio centered around a 3M M79 tape machine, and a Harrison M3 console. Both of which were in pretty bad condition.
But it just takes the piss when you have to press a routing switch down and then JAM A DRAWING PIN IN IT to get it to stay there. Not to mention the Autolocator which runs slow by about 1 min when rewinding for a bout 3.5 mins!!! OR the wiring that an 8 year old could have done better. I mean please if you're gonna charge money for a service make sure it fucking works. Also empty the fucking bins.

Sorry just had to nag about that. Mind you I didn't need to apologise, thats what this thread is for....

4. People who apologise at inappropriate times.

About two hours ago I had to endure about half an hour of a British guy embarrassingly making racist comments at a poker table I was playing at online.

There was a German at the table who was doing nothing wrong whatsoever. The British guy started by calling him a N*zi and then followed by saying to the guy that he should be ashamed of himsolf for being N*zi scum and killing so many jews.

At this point I said something along the lines of "give it a rest" before he replied, "shame you have to live in Scotland".

I didn't know I was playing poker at the comedy club.

Anyway, I felt better towards the end as the German player took him all in and won.

Oh, another thing that annoyed me recently, playing a tournament last night which had 5 top prizes.

Whilst in 3rd place with only 5 players left, I had pocket queens and hit a queen in the flop. A bluffer decided to take me all in. I laughed at what he had until both the turn and the river together gave him a straight. CRAP.
