Re: Little Details from Your Day
1033I am made to understand that in Britain one has "football language," in which boys and girls can express themselves as their parents do while at the ground for matches, even though that sort of language might have consequences in, say, school.
When my son was young, he and I would often drive to the beach in Oregon, and I would put together a playlist that always had some "beach trip" language. It was a gas watching in the rearview mirror as profanity would come up in a few of the songs and he would look up from his tablet or book with a gleeful, sort of conspiratorial look on his face. These songs were not played at home when mom was in the house. I think the best one was the first time I played Cee-Lo's Fuck You.

"And the light, it burns your skin...in a language you don't understand."

1035I seem to remember from the Tech Forum that it is an actual longterm project making sound art / music with typewriters.
Unless I dreamt that...

1036Jeez, folks, it's right there in his signature.
FM twelvepoint: Several months ago I was visiting a town in the Berkshires and I saw one of your flyers.
The local 10-year-old I was walking with goes "Oh yeah. They make music with typewriters."
Like it was the most normal thing in the world. It was cool.

1038Who do I have to blow to get an unemployment check in this state? A robot, apparently. I was laid off and filed over a month ago, nothing has hit my account yet, and I can’t get a human on the phone.
It’s a nice day. I should go take a hike.

1039I feel like the truth is a bit of a letdown here but yes, it’s a typewriter band. Kind of a percussion ensemble with office satire.

1040Lately I friended Tabata from Zeni Geva and the Boredoms on FB and am so tickled. He is one of my favorite guitarists. He posts pictures of his meals. As well as the recent records he has listened to at home. He posts pictures of his current gigs with so many different bands in Japan. The dude is prolific.
I know we have fucked ourselves with it, but the internet never stops being amazing to me. The things I have seen written or in pictures or video. The people I have interacted with. The Selling a Valeno thread featuring guest star Vincent Gallo right here on the Premier Rock Forum. Truly we have lived through an amazing age no matter how things end up.
