Who is forcing you to get rid of them?

Seriously, how much room can they possibly consume? Put them in paper sleeves or something. Hell, I'd almost get rid of a limb before I'd be forced to dispose of music, but that's just me.
It doesn't matter if you are going to listen to them sooner or later, the point is is that you have them to listen to whenever you want.

I would be pissed.

I don't understand this attitude. I used to work at a radio station where my co-hosts would literally go into convulsions every time i threw out an old cd.

There is LOTS of shit music out there. disposing of some it isn't a problem

I have just returned from the bar, the game, and a sprint through a friend's novel, relieved that it is first class. The evening heat in the bar was intense and only relented when a downpour blasted down from the nowhere. The rain blatter was loud enough to be heard over the game, and I thought about waiting until it stopped before I rode home. It did not stop until just now, so I got a moderate soaking.

As I reached the corner of my street I saw incredible horizontal forked lightning, mind-quietening. Then I decided to hurry the remaining 20m and get inside, as I have no idea how well bicycles conduct electricity.

I've sold too many records in the past, only to later regret it. I'm not going to make that mistake again.
Plus, I'm not a radio station. I don't accumulate crappy cd's of music I'll never listen to.

I wasn't talking about throwing away radio station discs, but my own. Other music fans would be horrified - but tastes change, you know? That's all I'm saying. It's silly to keep holding on to things. If I were still holding on to my old albums I'd have a closet full of Primus, RHCP, and REM from my preteen years...

I've flogged, charity-shopped, rationalised to digital media, and straight out binned hundreds of records and CDs in the last few years, and I've never regretted getting rid of any of them.

Amazing music new and old never stops appearing. You don't need to carry everything with you throughout your life.
