A House of Dynamite. It's good, but I was expecting to like it better.

Not sure whether to post this here or on the 'streaming' thread (I watched it on Amazon Prime Video):

I Like Me (the John Candy documentary)

I don't really feel like I know more about John Candy after watching it. It wasn't bad. Just underwhelming.

The Running Man (2025), which is pretty faithful to the book. Didn't King write this very quickly powered by booze and coke? It certainly has that mania about it, a little like Robocop. Didn't expect too much but had a good time, even if it has less of the charm the director brought to his other films.

It's a movie so you can post it in either, IMHO, or even both.

It was actually quite the opposite in which I laughed uproariously for a good minute or so! *laughed in you've got to be fucking kidding me*

There is classic cinema that I've never seen. Take The Godfather. I don't think I've seen more than five minutes of it if even that, but if I was to walk in on somebody watching it I'd be like: oh, it's The Godfather. How can one not figure out it's Halloween after seeing Laurie's slow freakout to Annie splayed across a bed next to a jack-o'-lantern with Judith Myer's headstone behind her? Insanity, I tells ya!
When I was 21 and working at a used record store, we also bought VHSs and DVDs. This dude brought in a ton of stuff, but I told him I couldn’t buy his copy of The Godfather because he was missing the second tape. He told me to keep it because he didn’t want to deal with it.

That night I watched The Godfather Part 1.1. Good movie! It’s been 26 years and (SPOILER ALERT!) I still don’t know what happens after he smokes that dude in the restaurant.

There's a blowie in The Godfather?

Anyone seen Bugonia (new Yorgos film) yet? Am tempted but poor things kinda annoyed me… none of his other films have won me over much. He seems like a guy always chasing the next spectacle. I’m totally over big rah rah ‘clever’ films these days - all I need is a good story with formed up characters doing vaguely realistic and logical things - any suggestions?

Yeah, I saw it a few weeks ago. I'm kinda on the fence regarding how I felt about it, it's weird even for Yorgos L. (and I generally enjoy his films) I may need to watch it again when it gets to streaming.

It's not like Poor Things, though. If that annoyed you, this might be more your bag.

Luca Brasi deleted scene.

We did get to see his "O face," though.

That's in your head now. You're welcome.

Is it weird like his first films? They rocked
Yeah, I'd say so. It's a remake of a Korean film, Save the Green Planet.
