Mulholland Drive...wow. Words cannot describe that movie. It hit me hard.
I love Lynch. I would have to say he's my favorite director still working today, even if I don't know how I feel about
Inland Empire. Not Crap

Maybe that's why I like it so much better than Lynch's other films. You could do a lot worse than ripping off Robert Altman.
That movie is absolutely superb. Really of its time, in that there's no way it could be made now. It's very singular; the highpoint of something. When I watched it I thought it must be based on a short story. Did Altman write it? If so, that is shocking.

3 Women might be my favorite Shelly Duvall performance. She's so fucking good in this.
I agree with this. It was a real revelation to me, being annoyed by her performance in
The Shining. And yeah, great film...along with
Persona too, of course.
