Very nice. I've heard great things about those...have you used them before?

no, i've heard good things through friggin' exhaustive online research. you know how boring it is sifting through useless page mentioning "rio grande" or "pitbull" or "pickup?"

boring. anyways, i liked the look of them. i liked the description.

i had two put in. one in the bridge position and one in the middle position. i think neck position is stupid on bass. lovely on guitar. stupid on bass.
buy my guitar. now with pictures!

comments?

Yeah, me.
Regarding the ali fretboard, there is no issue.
The only thing you have 'may' have to adjust to is the neck profile. It is very thin, like uber-thin. I have huge hands and found it uncomfortable (unfamiliar) for a while. I have gotten used to it, my Fender's now feel like baseball bats by comparison.

PM me if you want the costs.

Is this a general trait associated with ECG? I've been hankering after a quality baritone but have quite small hands - big enough to play a Stingray bass but I had to sell a Wal. A slimline neck would be another point in favour. The current UK/US exchange rate makes it attractive but I'm guessing that shipping and taxes would probably kill it.

Ask Kevin about neck profile(s).

I know it's possible for him to do most anything on this front, but I would surmise there are expense and time considerations.

Well, purchase would not be until after the new year, so I'll just keep reading reports. Maybe someone out here will get one.

Besides, I'm also building my parts Esquire right now. That will be my uber rock guitar soon.

I got to play this thing last night. Actually, I got to play this thing, and Rich's TB500, to A/B them. Here's my observation... TB500 is lighter, all-aluminum is heavier though not as heavy as my baritone, so...

Sound-wise, the Electrical was way more crisp and clear, more present. It made the TB500 sound dark and mellow by comparison.

The neck profile on the Electrical was noticably thinner, like it reminded me of the Veleno neck a little even. I'm a big fan of a nice thin neck, and while the TB500 neck isn't thick or anything, I prefer the very sleek profile on the Electrical.

As far as people worrying about neck profile issues... what Tim said. Between Tim and I, I think there are 3 different baritone neck profiles right there, with mine being the thinnest, and his first one being the fattest. What Tim said. Kevin can probably do just about anything if you've got the patience to wait and the money to pay for the time involved.

And I don't know if I know one single person who's as good as Kevin is when it comes to drinking Jameson and putting a fucking JOURNEY song on a jukebox. C'mon, guy!!
