112Has anyone mentioned 3 Hur-el?
It's some far out fuzzy psych from Turkey.

i guess they count.
free your mind...and your ass will follow.
self-titled.
maggotbrain.
and if not psychedelic albums...you should still get them.
I hadn't bothered to check out early Funkadelic up until recently cause I was never very much into the late 70s-80s PFunk stuff and just assumed it was all the same. However, I got Maggot Brain and Free Your Mind... recently, and goddamn, it turns out to be some awesome RnB/Krautrock hybrid.
I've been listening to a lot of VHF Records stuff, dunno if that's been mentioned thus far. Pretty much anything with Richard Youngs, Sunroof!, Skullflower's "Orange Canyon Mind." Also, has anyone heard of Titan? Heavy, hypnotic psych Kraut jams, would recommend it to any fans of Circle's heavier records.

There are a whole host of psyche releases...compilations...coming out targeting Turkish, Indonesian, Indian, etc. recordings, mostly from the early 70's. I have a few, and haven't heard much that wasn't worth listening to. They all have some gems.
I'm under the impression that there was an exceptional music scene in Turkey in that timeframe. Unfortunately, the technology and financial resources of the artists' was scant, which demonstrates both that these bands were typically extremely devoted to their work, and that you probably had to 'be there' to experience the best they had to offer.
Check out, for instance, this link:

However, this Turkish guy actually built his own electronic band after throwing in the towel with his usual roster of human players. He is my favorite so far, despite the fact that I can only find one track by him (on the excellent Hava Narghile compilation):

He is my current Turkish music hero.

115Dunno if anyone mentioned these guys:
Black Sun Ensemble.
Early stuff is probably the best (isn't it always?).

117Oh, I also recently picked this one up:
It swings from typical, folky hippy crap to...completely insane electronic/acoustic 'noise'. Unbelievable.
