Mark Hansen wrote:Is it so wrong for two people to have sex once or twice, mutually enjoy it, and then go their separate ways, without feeling bad because it was not a longer lasting relationship? Perhaps it was what both people needed, at that time? Can't people remember and treasure those times and not diminish what it "meant" at the time, without feeling like it was a waste of time and energy?

+10, well put.

A few years makes a significant difference on this topic. It's called "growing up".

My more amorous female friends are among the most comfortable, creative and confident people I know. No fucked-up backgrounds, no weirdness. These are not girls getting loaded and trying to blow guys in bar restrooms, those are known as the mentally-ill. Different topic.

These are well-educated working women. Perfectly normal, ambitious folk who are not willing to be burdened with a relationship but not above feeling lonely occasionally.

just. like. you.

The vast majority of gals that were called 'sluts' when I was younger turned out to be among the first to willingly settle down, bear children and maintain and defend their long-term relationships. In that order.

'sup seems to be the only one here with the balls to admit that to be with a 'slut', you gotta be a bit of a 'slut' yourself.

But I guess it's no fun calling yourself names, is it?

I didn't bother participating in this thread for pretty much the reasons mentioned above.

The concept itself is bullshit.

I'll sleep with whoever the goddamn hell I want and by that logic, women can do the same.

If you're still offended by the concept of sex in 2008, who is the one with a problem?

sack of smashed assholes wrote:what if it's a girl that's been with your other friends? I say NO. I think this is kind of an unwritten thing for me, if I know some guy dated, fucked around with, or was in a relationship with the girl--untouchable, it's just a boundary I don't cross. i've seen problems arise between friends, and I've been in situations where I've had the opportunity. I just don't do it, no matter how over a girl says she is, I just don't think it's fair right, or appropriate, and in some way I think it's really weird knowing some guy you know's dick has been in her. I don't know maybe I'm weird, but I've never done this. if I ever do, I'll be sure to report.

I live in a town of sixty thousand. There are less than sixty or so women around here that I am even interested in. Crossover is unavoidable.

Yeah, in a town like that you don't lose your girlfriend, you just lose your turn.
