Been working on plenty of Chopin pieces lately. Found this gem while doing some research:phpBB [media]

I searched this great thread and could not find anything so I think it's worth mentioning Valentin Silvestrov, the incredible Ukrainian composer. Silent Songs continues to floor me and is one of the most beautiful song cycles ever. His 5th Symphony absolutely slays as well.phpBB [media]

Bump. I am no expert in any period of classical music, to say the least, but I adore some of the random snatches I'm aware of. I have been listening to a lot of Berg and Webern recently, two sides of the serialism coin I guess but both indispensable.
