How can you not tell if Snoop is a girl or not? Snoop is a girl.

I found it challenging to tell what gender Snoop was for the first couple episodes. Her voice and manner of dress are quite ambiguous and you really can't tell if she has boobs or not.

I sometimes wonder if her and her partner in crime, Chris get it on? Then again she's half his age and ,well frankly, sorta homely, but in West Baltimore who knows?

I'm pretty sure Snoop swings towards the ladies. There was an episode in Season 4 where whathisname had her and Chris cuffed and seated on the curb and the detective said, "Yeah, I was thinking about some pussy right about now" and Snoop responds "me too."

Here's an article about the show's creator.

My father tells me that the real-life Bill Marimow, the former Baltimore Sun editor and David Simon hate object now overseeing the precipitous decline of the Philadelphia Inquirer, babysat me as a small child. I always had vague memories of some dour jerk telling me that if I kept burying the lede I'd be sent straight to bed.

Episode 5.2 has me  :!:

Thanks for this. I've been a fan of David Simon's for years after reading, and then watching, Homicide: Life on the Street and The Corner: A Year in the Life of an Inner-City Neighborhood. I'm looking forward to his next project.
