I try to shop at small places whenever possible.
No Wal-Marts or other "super"stores
No big pharmacies
No big supermarkets
No malls
No big chains.
Sometimes concessions have to be made, but that is only under the most dire of circumstances.
And I'm breaking my longstanding HOB boycott to take my little brother to a concert there...
...don't worry, I can still sleep through the night.
What products-companies-stores do you " boycott" ?
112Wow, I've done such a good job boycotting them I don't even think about it anymore.. Ticketmaster. I did look up some tickets a few weeks ago before going to the box office and the fee's have sky rocketed. I had a 18 dollar ticket with 15 dollars of convenience/handling fees. Fees almost exceeded the price of the ticket. Are they out of their fucking minds?

114All of the big fast food stores (Macdonalds, Burger King etc) and coffee chains
Marks and Spencer
I won't by anything from Israel in the supermarket if I can help it (in fact I try to avoid anything flown from too far overseas but that's for different reasons.)
Recently I added Waterstones to my least when they announced they were going to dumb down their book selection to increase sales
I don't think I'm scaring anyone mind you

They, along with quite a few other high street stores, support Israel.
Actually, occasionally I crack and dip in for a take away sushi at lunch.
But i feel dirty afterward.

117Hmmm.... yeah I had heard that.
On the other hand, their food is probably the most ethically produced and certainly the most ecologically packaged out of all the major supermarket chains. Any eggs in all M&S products are free range, plus their sandwich packets and plastic seals aren't actually made from plastic, but rather biodegradable cornstarch.
'Tis a minefield, this boycotting malarkey... a moral maze indeed.

Indeed it is
and pretty much ineffective.
and to be honest boycotting Marks and Sparks isn't too much of a wrench for me. I'm not really the Marks and Sparks sort anyway.
And if there's a Tesco nearby I can always get my sushi from them instead.

119I try to avoid supermarkets other than the Co-Op.

well, me neither - way out of my budget! The odd £1.10 Free range egg and cress sandwich hits the spot though.
