the Classical wrote:Cynar flip, which basically the same except with Cynar instead of Caffe Borghetti.Dust a little nutmeg on top, tastes like a milkshakeSounds good, gonna try one tonight at work.Edit: Hit the spot when needing some energy mid-shift, for sure. Like the Borghetti version better, though I forgot the nutmeg. At this point I want to try this flip with every <25%abv amaro we have. And in the coming week, I will.

I think it worked.Jeez, that is an extremely bold move. There's actually one old cocktail that uses Creme de Violette - or, more accurately, Creme de Yvette - and Benedictine in one glass, which is called the bon soir. It's equal parts of the two with ginger beer on shaved ice. It tastes fucking crazy and looks nuts, but I've had worse things.

Interesting. I'll try it with the Violette and our house-made ginger beer. No Yvette on hand. The DS13 with Prosecco is actually alright. I mean, it's not absolute shit. Used about 4 oz Prosecco and served it in a pint glass. Using the straws really brought the Jolly Rancher. Fun stuff. NewDarkAge wrote:Have to design cocktails for a Nicolas Cage party. Maybe sub Mezcal for gin? It is Arizona after all, and smoke and apples work pretty well together.Ever see Moonstruck? That film needs a cocktail created for it....
