I agree as well. Being single for extended period of time can turn lots of guys into the worst kind of creep.

And nothing will turn a crazed sleazebag around and set him on the path of sobriety quicker than being with a girl whom he's really into.

A few things come to mind that I'd like to share with you provided that you are actually searching for insight and not just looking for an opportunity to "bash chicks" on the Internet.

1. It is generally true that if all the people you date have similar personality quirks, it is more likely that you are actively (subconsciously) seeking out people who have these quirks. Self-reflection (active self-reflection, not just being "funny" on a message board) might help.

2. Maybe crazy is sexy but the behavior you described in that series of phone calls doesn't strike me as "crazy". It does strike me as needy or co-dependent. That kind of behavior is self-perpetuating if you don't actively deal with it by talking about it, seeking couples therapy, or setting some mutually agreed upon rules of acceptable behavior in the relationship.

If you want to save your relationship, then save your relationship. If you want to get out of the relationship, there are considerate ways to go about it. If you want to complain about "all women", you might want to go somewhere where lots of totally amazing women (itchy, burun, Heather, ERawk, bumble, Kayte, kenoki, Nina) aren't already hanging out.

I'm not looking to bash a soul. I know plenty of amazing and strong women how have dealt with some obstacles I wouldn't be able to get past. A lot of them have the same "crazy" characteristics though.

Well, today, the woman in question finally stood up to her asswipe employer. She dealt with him in a logical manner. Her gig is over but she already has another one better terms and a better salary; just ironing out the details. Needless to say, I'm slap happy. The main source of frustration between us both has simply vanished. It's wild. I know that she still has those characteristics (extremely insecure, constantly needing approval/attention) but this was a pretty big hurdle to clear.

I'm not going to read through all of these replies, so in fear of repeating what someone else has already said... yes, all women are crazy.

Even when you think you've met the most normal and down-to-earth person ever, she still has a crazy side. Usually, with people like this, their crazy side is even crazier than a that of a girl who is blatantly crazy.

Women have a way of not only being completely irrational, but making you feel like you're irrational for not thinking their irrationality is rational, over time. In other words, they'll eventually (at least somewhat) make you believe their craziness is justified.
