Yeah, I have a tough time watching horses drown, too.

Who saw the Japanese guy crash on rings.

Who saw the German guy crash on the high bar.

Great moments in Olympic history. Hopefully MANY more to come.

I missed the Japanese guy – I got up to get a coffee at the wrong time. He seemed pretty gutted. So was I as the Beeb didn’t show the replay.

I saw the German guy though – that looked like a heavy fall! He just got right back up on the H’bar though. I like the way he did the move again and nailed just to show he could.

I felt bad for him as he has a fall on the Parallel bars too didn’t he?

This morning the BBC’s pool side totty Sharron Davies pretty much openly accused the Chinese women swimmer of cheating - “How else can you explain a 10 second performance improvement in 1 year?”… this was moments after the Aussie women’s team knocked 6 Seconds off the world record for the relay – A 7 second improvement in 1 day! It kinda happens like that Sharron. Is she going to accuse them of doping too? I doubt it. Now shut up and stick to asking the athletes patsy questions and looking nice.

Don't forget Sharron Davies only took a silver medal in the 400m medley in Moscow in 1980; the woman who took the gold was an East German who later admitted being part of the state-run doping programme. She also knows a LOT about swimming.

And, yes, yes I probably would.

Speaking of the 1980s Moscow Olympics, I was watching this last night:

It's gold from beginning to end, but look out for Blackie Lawless at 1m 17s.

It's great that you can look beyond her past. I only wish I was as liberal as you.

New Olympic sports for 2012 include darts (to be held in the 02 Arena), snooker (to be held in the Emirates Stadium), and open class freestyle pagga (to be held in any market town at 11.30pm on the first Friday evening).

My favourite part of the summer games has always been getting the opportunity to listen to Béla Károlyi being interviewed/commentating. In retrospect, it completely pisses me off that none of my skating coaches sounded like Dracula.
