Wow...that actually makes a lot of sense.

The first time I heard St. Anger I thought one of the lines was "my lifestyle determines my deathstyle"...but there is no way anyone would use that line. He must be saying the same syllables, but in his made up language.

Oh no, "my lifestyle determines my deathstyle" is the line. There's a clip in SKOM showing when they actually come up with that steaming pile of shit.

Indeed sarcasm. My humor must have failed.

Speaking of that: what band in their right goddamn mind would try to COLLABORATE ON LYRICS? We tried that once and it was a goddamn trainwreck of suck. Never again. NEVER. AGAIN.

It's probably mentioned earlier in the thread, but SKOM shows their therapist actually contributing lyrics.

wow. seriously?

I think MegaDeth is fucking weak. Just horrible. Worse than the worst of MetallicA. The only advantage 'Deth has is Dave's lead guitar, but beating Kirk is an easy feat.

I can't imagine voting CRAP on MetallicA. I really can't.

Lots of bands do this actually.

Shellac, Husker Du, Fugazi, Sloan etc.

My mind is blown.

I mean, OK, Yale and i have teamed up a couple times, but the one time that all four of us sat together it was a trainwreck. Too many cooks, etc. That scene where Metallica's passing paper around and just basically trying to rhyme with each other...ugh. That hit uncomfortably close to home--the only difference being that they never said "wait, this totally sucks; let's never attempt this nor speak of it again."

For so many reasons, this is a must-see.

I read in an interview with Guy, which took place while the band was still going, that lyrics are the one thing Fugazi didn't collaborate on. He said this to qualify a statement that they wrote and arranged all their songs together, as a band.
