Mick Jagger is a fucking asshole. Any real Stones fan will tell you this without batting an eyelash.

If I cared one iota whether anyone whose music I like was or is an asshole, I'd have to get rid of at least half of my record collection.

So what if someone is an egotistic, strutting, preening, self aggrandizing, stroke themselves while watching themselves in the mirror asshole?

Any medium of expression which encourages you to delve into your less than rational aspects of your thinking, which perhaps express your core, primitive, modes of thought and feeling, will also encourage you to unleash the less palatable aspects of your personality.

Do I have to deal with them on a personal level: no. If I did, I might have a different perspective on the people in the bands I like, on a personal level, but that doesn't mean I automatically dismiss everything they've done. It also doesn't mean I put them on some pedestal as objects to be admired either.

I like the Stones, a lot. Their output in the last 20-30 years; not so much. In fact, I own nothing after, I think, "Some Girls", which I am not really enthralled with. Prior to that, they created much to be admired.

I could say that any medium of expression which APPEALS too the less than rational aspects of your thinking, which perhaps express your core, primitve modes of thought and feeling, will also probably help define your (dis)taste.

I don't know, I always think it's better for things to be revealed rather than hidden. Even if they're hidden, they're still there, you know? That aspect of anyone's personality never goes away.

I've been listening to this band for the first time, seriously, lately.

Good band. I like them. Same reason I like AC/DC. Not excellent, not really that joggling, but utterly sleazy and awesome.

So yeah, I retract half the shit I've talked about these bloated rock star fucktards (with great stories).

It's only rock & roll, but I like it.

I've never been a huge fan of the stones, from their misogynistic lyrics (for some reason it bothers me a lot more with them than other bands because it seems like they're being 100% sincere), to the fact that I've always liked their singles a lot better than anything else. But I have to admit I haven't exactly heard everything of theirs.

From what I know, they still have a bunch of killer songs so they still get a pretty definitive Not Crap from me.
