RIP to the man who brought the world the concept of a southern Mark Smith.
Oh damn. Good songwriter.

Timuel Black died this week after a long and extraordinary life. The obituary our old neighborhood newspaper published is well worth ten minutes of your time.

Yeah.. I don't look forward to the McCain-like tributes coming, but Powell wasn't on the level of the modern GOP. Speaking of I can't wait for those ghouls to point out the ineffectiveness of the vaccine here..

Maybe he’ll finally find those WMDs in the hereafter.

Indeed. I already regret my shred of sympathy here..

I always avoided making fun of Powell’s pronunciation of his own first name because, what if it’s an ethnic thing? His parents were Jamaican, after all, and I don’t know patois to say one way or the other. Recently I found out his parents said Colin the way everyone else does, and his own “colon” version was a tribute to a little-known world war 2 flying ace.

So, he opted to pronounce his name “Colon”. Colon! That’s your butt hole. Wtf

I can't believe he had to die before I learned that he Colonised himself. Picture it.

"Ahem, It's pronounced COLON."
"Uh, since when?"
"Since today. I've been letting everyone know."
"Yeah, well good luck with that COLON."
