After 20 years of wrong, I was disappointed to find that New Order were not talking about "an icy and shallow bay" on "Blue Monday". In my defence the "I see a ship in the harbour" line that precedes it did tee this up for me.
On Nick Cave's "The Witness Song", even though the lyric sheet says different, I'm sure he sings "A winter fuck will pick me up". Well it would, wouldn't it? It's supposed to be "A winter fog moved quickly on", but that's just not what he's singing.

112I always thought that the first lyric of Rock The Casbah by The Clash was...
"Well you can't control the boogie man"
and I still am not sure what the real lyrics are.

113When I first heard Steady As She Goes by Shellac I though it said:
"Steady as she goes, off with her head..." and then "I feel like I'm Greg Ginn"

"Eeehh-ah-oh-baaayyy-i-don't-wanna-eho-oh-uh-bop-base"
On every track too.

I just heard Smashing Pumpkins "Where Boys Fear To Tread" and remembered always mistaking the lyrics:

Add Nirvana's "Beeswax" where I still hear:
But I don't think anyone can get that right.

His tragic forces are heaven sent

I got my doodie spayed.
But I don't think anyone can get that right.

I think it's "now the king told the boogie man, you gotta let that raga drop"
