How about they work out ALL of the bugs, first. This "release it at 90% finished" is fucking shit, and working its way into mechanical society.

Point taken, and something I’d generally agree with in most circumstances (i.e., software cannot be released until there are no known issues).

The problem is that in the world of cybersecurity and now AI, you might not know there is an issue until 2, 3 years after the software is released. There will
always be a need to update software as safely as possible.

99% of the time the updates aren't even safety related, though, they're just to justify someone's employment by making minor tweaks that "enhance the user experience" by making basic functions harder to access behind yet another layer of submenus or to install bloatware. It's like the software industry is taking its cues from the textbook industry. So you end up in a perpetual state of updating software rather than using it and it ends up being less functional when you finally get to use the software after a month of waiting for it to install 3,000 daily updates.

I'd be fine with it if they just updated software when there's a critical issue or vulnerability that needs to be fixed, but that's almost never what it is. And with video games the updates are usually just to remove existing content and place it behind a paywall. This shit needs to be regulated, it's out of control.

Re: fireworks, I'm treated to their detonations for every holiday between New Year's and Labor Day, inclusive. I reserve the right to hope these idiots blow their fingers off. I'd say the majority of amateur artillerymen around where I live are white, for what it's worth.

It's better than celebratory gun-firing, which I guess is becoming more common in this country.

This is very interesting. This tweet is exactly what I'm thinking, so much so that I refer in my head to "the South Park mentality" as a description of the attitude I was surrounded with growing up, one which I deeply loathe.

But then lots of other people are responding to this saying no this is not what the show is about at all, you didn't pay attention, and this take is a tediously predictable one from people who don't pay attention.

Have I gotten it wrong?

Not sure if I get the point point but:

I understand the "South park mentality" term not necessarily goes against the show.

A lot of people grows up with a "South park mentality", a lot of them don't even watch tv and don't know about the show existence. I can understand using that "South park mentality" term to refer to them. Not sure if I'd be happy if I was one of the series creators but who cares.

As a " normal" adult who loathes a lot of the behavior showed there I just think that show is kinda funny at best but nothing memorable.

I mean, if someone is stupid he/she may think some behaviors shown on a tv show are "fine" just cause it seems "funny".

As I said b4, not sure if I got what you were talking about. Just my two cents anyway.
