My wife and I invited my wife's friend her two boys (6 & 7) to move in with us. So far the boys and I have watched 4 Frankenstein movies this week -- last night we watched Godzilla and Dracula. I was trying to explain to them that it was completely plausible for Godzilla to breath both fire and ice. Finally after pausing the movie and much debate, they finally believed me. However, I didn't have much luck explaining the cultural context of the movie in the wake of the creation of the atomic bomb and the nuclear attacks on Japan. In the middle of my lecture, they said "can we just start the movie again?"

i'm going to new orleans for the weekend. i've never been. and i can't concentrate on a damn thing at work.

I got my new Electrical guitar last night.

Holy fuck is it awesome. Pictures later when I get a chance to take them, probably posted in the EGC thread. Kevin did a hell of a job on it. Definitely worth the wait.

Counting down the last few hours to my first week-long vacation in 15 months. Heading to Rincon, Puerto Rico for a week of NOTHING. My wife and I have not had a week alone together since our honeymoon in 2002.
