wonderful. I thought the only cure was you start a studio and then it's "your job"

GAS for me is all about the day job. I frequently have long pauses/downtime. I have a small practice amp and a bass next to me but I usually end up here or combing reverb.

The studio is my job and as far as that goes, I've felt done for awhile. Aside from a pair of hypex power amps in 2019, and a new plugin now and then the studio hasn't changed at all since I built it in 2018 and I don't feel like it's lacking in any way.

As far as instruments and stuff, my big guitar buying/building spree of the last 2 years is over, and I have more than enough guitars to keep me happy forever. Any time I see some sexy guitar I immediately think "I GOTTA have one of THOSE", but no, I don't, it's enough to just admire them from afar.

I've always wanted the Bob Barker microphone. Since the ECM-51 is rare as hen's teeth and fetches several hundreds of dollars when they do come up, I bought this poor bastard instead.


I'm sure it will sound AMAZING.

I get that perspective is everything, but that looks like it's 4 feet long. Please tell me it's 4 feet long.
