HA! They DO seem like guitars for Canadians now that i think about it. Polite.

You have to take Taylors on their own terms. It’s not going to sound like Neil Young or Nick Drake - it will more likely sound like a goddamn grand piano with the sustain pedal down. It fits in a whole band recording beautifully.

I guess all Nina Nastasia’s records are her Taylor, right?

who am I to judge, one of my favorite acoustic sounds are those little Silvertones with cowboy boots and cactus printed on the top and we have a 68 Martin that I NEVER play. I had a Kawai Archtop Electric with F holes that I used as my main acoustic for years before it it fell off the wall and fell into a thousand pieces. Tayler is probably just too nice for my ears.

hahaha - I've been here 10 years, I'm part of the problem now. A lot of Taylors are like the PRS of the acoustic world, built super well but I didn't think they were for any kind of music I wanted to make. I've since been converted by the necks and it's hard for me to go back - there's a lot of different models and I realized I didn't try the 'right' Taylors for me. Some stuff this year I'm pretty excited about though

I feel like Taylor people have lots of different lotions and skin creams, maybe more than one cologne or perfume. Martin people own a lot of wool and likely some corduroy. They can tell you the name of a favorite used book store without hesitation.
