I think you'll find you're in good company. Our team got exactly what they deserved - fuck all - for all the reasons cited above.

Benitez for the England job?
Think about it, Mourinho probably fancies the Liverpool job.
Edit -
Hilarious mishap that might have lifted Croatians to victory against England?

Although I hate Peter Crouch, I thought he probably performed the best for England, shame he's far to shit to be left up there all alone. Wright-Phillips was the only other player who seemed to be working at least half speed but nearly everything he did was poo out of my bottom. Joe Cole wasted time, Becks didn't get much ball time, Gerrard was shit so nothing new there (this season)...etc.
All I can say is- it's a shame we didn't get knocked out earlier, we could have gotten the manager sacking out of the way and started organising a new leader sooner. Blame should be placed upon players too, they just don't give a shit-all their real money comes from their league teams, international football is just an annoyance probably.
Benitez is addicted to the Champions league and wants to win the premier league badly, having said that it's possible that neither will be possible this year and if he falls out with people on the Liverpool board who knows?

No love for Crouchinio? I don't get it. I really think he's an ok player - not the best, but it's not his fault. He's a decent striker. Plus he always struck me as a nice guy. Seems sincere and really, really happy to be playing for England - probably because he can't believe his luck, but anyway, it's more than you can say for most of the team.
If none of that works, this should endear you to him:
Peter Crouch, on a kid's TV programme phone-in wrote:Question: What would you be if you hadn't become a footballer
Crouch: A virgin.

I didn't used to like Crouch but with a decent team behind him, I can completely see the benefit of having a tall striker who can also finish the ball well at an international level. A good manager would know how to use a player like Crouch to full effect.

My only problem with the Crouchatron is that he doesn't bust some mad Crouchatronix after he scores any more.
He's a proven goalscorer at every level. What more does a striker need to do? It's like Kris Boyd at Rangers. Folk criticise him for not doing enough work for the team, but he averages better than a goal every 2 games.

I amongst others was completely caught out by the absence of Ronaldo in the Manchester United side today. He was my Captain for this week while Fabregas was suspended and somehow his injury (Update - Ferguson was resting him after the Euro qualifier games) never made it into the press. Just goes to show, you can prepare and observe as much as you like but sometimes the results are out of your hands.
Double week for Villa and Blackburn though. I might make up some points there.
