1193I just ordered print subscriptions to Creem and Sight & Sound. I’ve been getting increasingly disgusted with screens and with my own relationship with my phone and just really need stuff that isn’t digital.
Re: Little Details from Your Day
1194Totally unrelated Dave, but your friend Paul bought my EGC bass! Was pretty shocked to see someone on my porch wearing a 2010 PRFBBQ shirt that I didn't know already! Of course, turns our him and Jordana know each other from way back as well!Dave N. wrote: Tue Mar 21, 2023 10:51 pmThanks! Re: Little Details from Your Day
1195Been experiencing recurring pain in my left foot over the last couple of years, usually triggered at some point when I've been taking up jogging for a few months. Usually it doesn't get too bad and goes away on it's own after a week or two.
I'd been jogging for 9 months and thought I was in the clear, but then the same dull pain came back a couple weeks ago. Stopped jogging, but last weekend the pain got exponentially worse, to where I could barely even sleep.
Got to a podiatrist yesterday and turns out I have an extra accessory bone in my left foot that is fractured. No idea if it's recent or not, but I'd guess that's what's been bothering me for so long. So, I've got a boot on for the next 6 weeks to see if it heals; if it doesn't I may end up getting surgery to remove the bone and repair the tendons, and then another 6 weeks in a boot and using crutches or a knee scooter.
HOT BOOT SPRING/SUMMER BOI RIGHT HERE.

1196Oh nice! Paul is a bff. We’ve been friends since he was 14 and I was 15. In high school we played in a band together called Corduroy. He is also my best-dressed friend. He’s one of a few reasons why I need to come visit Seattle this summer.tallchris wrote: Wed Mar 22, 2023 12:13 pmTotally unrelated Dave, but your friend Paul bought my EGC bass! 1198DO IT! As you know, summer in the PNW pretty much can't be beat (as long as there aren't forest fires or a 90+ degree heatwave happening which, uhg, is pretty much new normal for part of summer).Dave N. wrote: Wed Mar 22, 2023 12:54 pmOh nice! Re: Little Details from Your Day
1199After some knee and foot pain I'm slowly trying to get back into running after a couple year hiatus. So yeah, I too have some foot issues and I'm trying to figure out if it's my new walking shoes or if I fractured something. I think it's the former and I'm going to try another 30 minute run tomorrow and see where things are at.tallchris wrote: Wed Mar 22, 2023 12:37 pm Been experiencing recurring pain in my left foot over the last couple of years, usually triggered at some point when I've been taking up jogging for a few months. I probably should see a doctor about this, but I recently had prostate surgery and I'm all fucking set with doctors for a little while.
