For so many reasons, this is a must-see.

The bit with Sammy Hagar was pretty sweet. What a fucking dork.

This is pretty good too:

Ah, poor James. The man desperately needs a drink.
And then there's this...

Shellac, Husker Du, Fugazi, Sloan etc.

I read in an interview with Guy, which took place while the band was still going, that lyrics are the one thing Fugazi didn't collaborate on. He said this to qualify a statement that they wrote and arranged all their songs together, as a band.

My impression was always that Guy and Ian each sang the songs that they wrote. You can pretty much tell their lyrical styles apart.

My understanding was this is true of Husker Du as well, since Mould and Hart don't share writing credit on most of their songs.

Metallica keeps him close to the streets, man

Lars was already beginning to backpedal on the whole not caring whether they get rich and famous thing, he was laying thr groundwork right there.
He's actually talking to MTV for one, remember back before that they had nothing but bad things to say about videos and MTV? They would never in a million years have done an interview with MTV before that.
'well, I won't say we'll never do a video or anything, because if it felt right we would'

Yeah. And what's more, this difference is also apparent in their previous bands. Rites of Spring versus Egghunt, for instance.

Which one of us is going to take one for the team and pick it up the day it comes out?

Oh fuck it, I will.

Any words on rockumentary about recording this turd?

EDIT:
On March 12, 2004, drummer Lars Ulrich reported that the band performs thirty-minute jam sessions prior to live performances, and that these jams are recorded for future reference. Select music from these jam sessions may be used on the album, as Ulrich stated, "I definitely look forward to sifting through some of that stuff when we get back to the studio in January."[5] On that note, by October 2004 the band had already compiled nearly 50 hours of pre-set jamming, with hundreds of riffs, chord progressions and bass lines

Hundreds of riffs!!!
