Just listened to MURRAY STREET last night for the first time in a long time.

Wonderful album. I think that, in twenty years, it will have the sort of stature among guitarists that MARQUEE MOON has today.Love the triple guitar attack that's only featured on the O'Rourke stuff. In fact, O'Rourke is a fantastic guitarist in his own right (check out the early Gastr Del Sol).

My favorite SY material is comprised of the period between WASHING MACHINE and SONIC NURSE. Simply unbeatable. The title track off of NYC GHOSTS AND FLOWERS is the fulfillment of the dense, discordant layering the band had invented on their first EP back in 1981.

Lee Ranaldo might just be my favorite guitarist in the world.
