Just watched Excision (2012) and was pleasantly surprised. John Waters, Ray Wise, and Malcolm McDowell all have small parts in it; 3 Nina Nastasia songs are used. Fair bit of blood/organ fetish stuff.

Hey just paying back some of the good tips you've left in here. I am going for the Hellraiser reboot tomorrow. Not expecting a lot.

I can't remember if I mentioned this movie in the PRF v1 version of this thread, but one of the ones I watch every October is the alien-impregnation schlockfest Baby Blood.

Traci Lords too. I just looked it up and I saw it not too long ago but also completely forgot those actors were in it, probably because the whole thing was crazy

Just watched the new Hellraiser and dug it

The Innocents is great with magnificent performances from the child actors. Highly recommended.

Anthologies are usually hit-or-miss, but I found Horror Anthology: Vol 1 on Tubi to be quite effective, surreal, and creepy throughout. Landgraves, a tale concerning a French metal band attempting a comeback after one of the members is released from prison for murder is obviously cribbed from reality, but it works. Tense, atmospheric, and creepy, with good music and excellent performances. It's also on Alter's YT channel.

I thought it was alright. A few shades above “meh” but not fantastic. It’s been… a while since there was a real-ass Hellraiser movie with mythology, gore, and humans who show more than one emotion. I liked them doing something different with the Cenobite character designs, even if the thing they did isn’t really my taste. Jamie Clayton was great.

On the negative side, none of these characters are as 3D as Kristy or even Julia from the first two movies. I already had to look up the protagonist’s name, and I just watched it last night. This new one is also missing the interplay between sex and gore that made the original movie so unforgettable and transgressive.

Well aware that this is squarely in the well-known category, but… I watched this the other night and was really impressed…top 3 non-print Marvel projects maybe?
