I was moping around in a record shop and picked up Rapeman's "Two Nuns and a Pack Mule", simply because it was the best band name I had heard in a really long time. I was even more exited when I put it on and realized it was 'the guy from Big Black'.

After discovering David Ws Sims was the greatest bass player ever, I looked him up and found out he was in The Jesus Lizard. There, I discovered the greatest front man ever, one of the greatest guitarists ever, and one of the greatest drummers ever.

Fantastic band.

wha? it's just yow doing two takes.

also, "shot" is NOT that bad. you'd be lucky to make an album as good as "shot," any of you.

if there are any decent drummers in england who a sick of being in a shit bands with crap riffs call me, and we can have a shot at this little challenge.

Mmmm...double-tracked Yow...I always wanted to hear a song where Yow would call-and-response vulgarities with himself, but it never seemed to happen...

I was aware of the Scratch Acid connection when they came to town touring for the Head LP but skipped the show I don't know why. A friend did not and said it was one of the best shows he had seen and our shameful city had barely attended it. So a year passes and the Goat tour brings the band back. Word of mouth results in a packed club and minds blown. A group of friends decide we must see TJL again the following night at their next show (a bus ride and ferry trip away). We are rewarded with an outstanding performance and an introduction to the band who seem to remember us from the night before. Two years later my band had the honor of opening for The Jesus Lizard when they played here. Their records are so well recorded that if you close your eyes you are taken back to the front of the stage and can almost feel Yow's sweaty presence.

Not Crap
