Recently read an article where more babies are born without wisdom teeth, or an extra arm artery, or an extra bone in their knee. You are at the forefront of evolution and must be protected at all cost. Maybe get carried around in a palanquin!

Have you tried Brian over at mP? Worth a shot!

Yeah, I shot an email over to the main MP email address. It's only been a week, I am impatient in my old age.

I had no idea that buying and selling old perfume would be so much fun.

Is this in-person? I imagine exposure to light and/or various atmospheric conditions over time would make this a nightmare for remote/online purchasing.

I buy in person, thrift shops and other random shops I would not expect to carry "good" fragrances. Went to a place south of Koreatown this week that has Avon (worth the price IMO if you like the fragrance) and Mary Kay hand-painted on the windows, and one could only see household products from the street. While they did have those brands (at half the normal price) they also had a bunch of random fragrances, some quite good, and new. Even in a box they can go rancid, and I have purchased a few that are, people want them anyway it seems even with that disclosure (I open them and spray once to check freshness) . Maybe they just want the bottles. Light, heat, and oxygen maybe can fuck with em. Which I don't really understand; amaro seems to have a better shelf like at 30% abv and perfumes are minimum 70% abv usually. I have thought that more alcohol would preserve better...dunno.

Heard a new-ish band I kind of liked so I checked out their IG page, to find appx. 4,000 pics/posts: everything from show footage, to gas station stops on tours, to pedal board shots, to recording/rehearsal shots, and so on. I don't hold anything against this particular band, it's more that.. is this what it takes to "keep audiences engaged" these days?

Have to balk at the idea of musicians becoming ever-present "social media rockstars." Another race to the bottom, it seems.

Plus, the minutia of making/recording music, while not without intriguing elements, can become really mundane in the extreme. Like day-to-day details from one's family life.

I love being in a band, the making stuff, recording, playing live. All that is thee best and fun.

I hate everything else. I hate selling myself, I hate booking shows, I hate social media, I hate networking, all the stuff you are expected to do to operate as a band. I ALMOST understand why some bands have a manager/booking person, etc.
