Right now I am wondering if they're ever going to make a new build of Firefox that connects to the internet right away instead of idling for 5 minutes at startup. I never had this problem before Firefox Quantum came along and I've had it on every computer and every version of Firefox since. Firefox is still the least worst browser, but it's getting on my nerves.

Between street cleaning, people moving cars around (see street cleaning, and parking restrictions/permits), fireworks, dogs barking, people speeding by, people running their cars for who the fvck knows what, car alarms (also fireworks related), leaf blowers (mostly electric, but still), corner sales where the ladies gather and chat all day, multiple (at least four) ice cream trucks daily, multiple (at least three) "produce trucks," the dude who drives around on a 4-wheel ATV selling those ring shaped crispy things and honking his clown horn, the guy who walks around selling those ring shaped crispy things and honking his horn, the guy who selling those ring shaped crispy things and ringing a bell, the tractor trailers that cut through, and then multiple garbage days...the noise never. fucking. stops.

I would happily take the sound of AC over the sounds of my neighborhood. Don't get me wrong, it's lively and nice and friendly, it's just fucking loud.

I try not to run AC unless I have to, but this means I use fans a lot. It's an amazing and surreal feeling when fall sets in and the noise level in the home dramatically drops.
