I had to queue to use the showers at the gym this lunchtime. Save for a few shy sorts, this queue was largely comprised of dudes in the nud. It made me think of the Holocaust and I felt a little sad.

Bloody hell. If the gym makes you think of the Holocaust, you might want to consider that you (and they) are not doing it right.

Distastefully, I link this to a detail from Saturday: my flatmate's boyfriend showed me a startlingly good impression of Hitler's speech. He has pledged to teach me this in exchange for my less impressive Churchill.

There is a huge and dark thunderstorm cell gathering over my neighborhood.

Maybe he got it riding the mountain bike course? I heard he took a spin on it. I can't imagine it's too easy.

Holy shit, lightning was hitting the Whitestone Bridge, and now there's peanut M&M sized hail pelting my windows.

Alarms everywhere.

Holy shit! No windows in the temporary office, so I have no idea what's going on outside. Looks like I'm staying in for lunch.

The lady and I went to an architectural salvage store called Good Olde Things yesterday. So damn cool. Just rows and rows of old porcelain door knobs, art deco brass lock facings, wooden stair railings from the Plaza Hotel, on and on. The place seemed endless. So much New York history to be sorted, admired, and pawed.

Out of everything we saw, the one thing we wanted most was a wooden airplane propeller.

I work right near there, and regularly walk by there at lunch. Mostly to "visit" these:

Did you tell him the world was around before 3000 BC?

Don't sweat it. Kids need to find out sometime.

I found out that people are truly evil today.

This makes me cry.

Evil people suck.

Have a nice day, Electrical folks.

It's the low carb diet that does it. I ran at lunchtime. I suffered my own personal holocaust.
