I don't know what to say apart from hang in there. Good luck to you, I am sure there is light at the end of the tunnel, even if it is only a pin-point at the moment.

It's the last day of the school holidays. We took the kids to the beach. Swam in the Firth of Clyde in the shadow of Ailsa Craig, some seals came to watch. Built a great fire using a new tip for fire lighting. Cotton balls smeared in vaseline. Played with a big frisbee, played dodge ball with a soggy tennis ball and finally dragged the kids around a field behind the car on a rubber ring.

A good end to the hols, I think.

Detail from yesterday morning, with ramifications continuing into today: the one-year-old serially head-butted me in my left shin, taking the injury back to about square two. Fuck. On the plus side, the boy's head is just fine.

For school or something?
Yeah, law school. Drinking alone at the moment.

I'm sick of being single.

Fortunately, I'm going back to college in a couple days.

The thing I need to keep in mind is that there are tons of people out there. so many fish in the sea. sooner or later a girl will gravitate towards me.

hopefully an intelligent, attractive and witty one.

I have spent the better part of today helping my friend demo some music for a commercial.

It's been a lot of fun. Kinda like doing a jigsaw puzzle. A jigsaw puzzle with vibraslap and cuica.

Over the past two days I've had bad fights with the two people I've been closest to for the past 4 years; then my family has tried to reach me and I've literally ignored their calls.

The worst thing about being unhappy for long periods of time is that it makes you act in ways that you'll regret. The difficult thing is dealing with the consequences after this period of time. I've been happier lately then I've been in a long time, but I have the sneaking suspicion that the worst blows are yet to come...

A big huge department store chain. It's a demo, but we're hoping that even if it doesn't get chosen as the music for the finished product, it will lead to more chances to do this kind of stuff.

This cut of the ad has a Big Dumb Rock Song as the final "beat" which has caused us much hilarity over the past few hours.

"Do you think the vibraslap undermines Big Dumb Rock Song?"

"I'm sure they didn't use the Eggz on Big Dumb Rock Song."
