Original Cleveland punk rocker, Velvet Undergound superfan, genuine oddball, and perennial fringe rock 'n roll extraordinaire Jamie Klimek has passed away. He fronted the Mirrors - upping what Lou Reed and Co. did with a hefty dose of volume and power - and also co-led the Styrenes, whose quirks and left hooks predicted new wave with an uncanny accuracy. Jamie wrote dozens of mini masterpieces, never quite getting the flowers he deserved, but at least he lived to see his musical accomplishments go back in print.
Rest in peace

Rest easy Tony Todd. If you haven't watched the talky sci-fi banger The Man from Earth then you should.

Along that line...
His turn in the "Night Of The Living Dead..." remake is also worth a person's time if they have not already seen it.

^ Hell yeah! It's one of my favorite remakes. One of Mr. Todd's essentials. I love the opening title sequence. So simple and effective. Scary zombies!

An absolute great, and we got him for a solid stretch.
