I've never been the biggest strat guy, I think they're fine looking, and there are a lot of people who make them sound wonderful. I never really played them until recently I picked one up and just kinda really loved how it felt. For the most part I play either my LP or my EGC, I have a couple of cheapish spares (a squire tele, an epi casino and an epi LP) I keep around also.

Then there's this weirdo below that combines all the things I like about the strat (weight, feel, trem) with my fav fender color, but replaced the SC's with three Humbuckers and a ash with a mahogany body?

What a bizarre combo. I kinda lust it.
It's 750 at GC, which I bet I could talk them down from quite a bit.

Yeah it is, but I’m surprised those necks are even 500 new. Political considerations aside, all I’ve read about those things are complaints from everybody except their same few defenders.

Anybody see anything worth a damn on black friday? Not me. Significant savings on Audix’s version of the SM7 but no idea if its worth it or not.
