Wingers. Leeds seem to be using the transfer window to sign every winger they can find. They've already got some Icelandic chap, they're talking to a guy from Northampton, bidding for wingers at Luton and Barnet...

It's an area we need to strengthen, but we don't have to be completely Tottenham Hotspur about it.

Can anyone stomach another comp?

Here's a link to the FA Cup one. http://facup.cyki.com

I've set up a league, PRF Sweet FA, the code is:

Damn you, Nico Adie and your marginally superior Fantasy football acumen! Damn you to hell

Wharfedale Generals have joined this league, their manager having had a slow afternoon at the office.

You too, sir? Who woulda thunk it.

If you'd proposed launching this Cup any time other than Friday afternoon I doubt I'd have gotten on board, Mr K!

Did anyone notice that the league we're in at www.premierleague.com also has us automatically entered into a cup competition? Apparently in the 4th round now.

I've joined this as well, though I can't promise I will be very active in it as I focus more on the League. (Typical manager excuse)

It has some interesting mistakes, N'Zogbia is listed as a defender. Might get some decent points from him if he scores one, though the way Newcastle are at the moment...

Nice to be able to select Hasselbaink just once more.

Yes, as most of the work was done setting up my team for another league I thought I'd see of there were any takers here.

I actually saw my first Leeds game of the season today and luckily it was a good'un. A tidy 3-0 win at home against Northampton. Before the game I was at the Old Peacock having a drink with my scary older brother and we mentioned that Ben Parker would be a decent enough left back until we could bring in someone more suited to that position. Sure enough, our back four today was Parker (solid!), Huntington (excellent!), Marques (scored!), Richardson (also scored!) and I think Northampton had one shot on goal. This also freed up Hughes and he was key in the midfield this evening. Even better, new lad Neil Kilkenny was the man of the match today. If this game was anything to go by, this would be an inspired signing. He's twenty-two, creative, solid in the tackle and best of all he runs around like a blue arsed fly. Let's hope Birmingham will let him go.

Great to be back in the Kop at long last. The best new chant consistently evolved throughout the game. As Dennis Wise said, every team in League One that comes to Elland Road is playing a cup final. The twenty-three thousand Leeds fans give helpful reminders of this every chance they get. Leeds go one up just before half time - "1-0....in your cup final". Northampton player gets booked - "Got booked....in your cup final". Northampton player gets taken off - "Got subbed....in your cup final". And so on as the game progressed.

If today was anything to go by, there is about to be a stretch of good form for Leeds again. That automatic promotion place behind Swansea looks awfully inviting to me right now.

Priceless.
