I remember that The Lemonheads were snooty when we opened for them. Bullet LaVolta also played, and they were cool. So I guess they were a douchebag headliner.

I think I've experienced a lot more crap with headliners that were like, local faves but no more known than my bands were.

STP opened for us once at The Pyramid though, and even though we let them use all of our gear since they showed up with nothing except Kim Gordon, they didn't have the courtesy to even watch us play one single song. I don't remember a Thank You even.

I guess I've had some pretty crappy bands open for my bands over the years, but none of them were really that shitty except for maybe their music.

me and vockins opened up for the dave matthew's band in 1992 or something like that- prior to them becoming "famous". the drummer let vockins play his hugenormous kit and seemed like a nice guy. the rest of the band were cocks. that violin player is/was a massive crackhead.

i might have played through that guy's bass rig, but I am not 100% percent sure. either way, he didn't like me using a distortion pedal through his swr cabinet or whatever it was. i think his name was pierre or something like that. he was wearing a beret. his bass sound was "hurmf, wheeeeerhn, hurmpf, doo dooo doooooo hurmpf"
