I imagine that she was a crappy stripper and turned to screenwriting instead. How could someone who wrote a cutesy script be a good stripper? Cmon.

Totally unbelievable storyline. First, a relationship like hers and Jason Bateman's would never happen. Period. It's fantasy.
Second, a 16yr old girl will not handle a pregnancy like a 35yr old woman. That is also fantasy, and no level of precociousness, quirkiness, or the support of a progressive hippie family will change that.
Add to all of that the fact that her dialogue is consistently over the top and precious to a cringe-inducing degree- there's a recipe for
CRAP.

I thought it was genius. Except all the "indie-movie-acoustic-guitar-and-elementry-school-vocals-indie-songs"
NOT CRAP!
Also- I had my first kid at 20. I imagine a movie like this is better when you have some experience.
