I've been singing Radiohead's "Let Down" in my car for over ten years, and I probably don't know 30% of the words.

I thought the singer was a hired killer of something, and he had to leave town because the law was after him. The real lyrics are rather mundane by comparison.

you mistook a beatles song for an ac/dc song?

Given the enunciation, I really thought it was

"Hot here in heaven without you"

(and apparently I'm not the only one...)


But if the lyrics booklet is to be believed then it is simply:

"Up here in heaven without you"


I guess the lyrics already illustrate one switcheroo (Romeo does himself in while Juliet's all "PSYCH!"), but I do think "Hot here in heaven" would have made it a double/adding-insult-to-injury switcheroo... as in "Hey - I made it to Heaven - where you at? Gee, I wonder why is it hot here? Hey that looks like... SATAN! - oh no!"
