That pedal is worth $400, yes. I’d rather it than some equivalently priced fancypants delay. It’s like a whole amp preamp and feels like one, too. Its well made and stout.
I might get it actually? I sold mine but am in a better position to use it to its full capabilities than I was before. We’ll see. If somebody else wants it they better get it before I get caught in a weak moment.

No! A mic (better 57 variant) with a more promising resale value came up a couple hours later from Colepicksvintage. Hope someone here got it though.

Alright, I was going to stay quiet about this. I bought the pedal...or thought I did. Made the purchase through their site last week, payment went through, everything is good.
After not hearing from them since last week, or getting a shipping invoice, I wrote to them last night about when they plan to ship it out. I got an email cancelling and refunding my order. No explanation, no apology, no nothing. That's some high-level bullshit service right there. Not to dump on a small local shop, but hell...don't offer online sales if you can't keep it straight.
On the plus side: I saved $400!

Does anyone know exactly what the circuit is in one of those? It's a single tube, presumably a 12AX*7 type. I'd guess it's as simple as:
Triode gain stage -> gain control -> Triode gain stage -> volume control
Ought to be easy to replicate.

Well shit, sorry about that. Never bought from them online but wouldn't be surprised if they had it up and had already sold it in store. I'll keep an eye out if another one pops up locally.
