I've always been really curious about these because I love the vintage Super Fuzz aesthetics. They have been reasonably priced for a vintage tube amp until recently and i always assumed they must sound terrible to not be desirable when they look so fucking cool. Some guy here in portland had a matched pair recently and i think it was under 2 grand for both. Bong Rawk!

I've never seen those before - they absolutely slay. i would but it and if it sounded like shit I'd still drag it on stage as a dummy it looks so cool.

I play in a band with a guy who has two Univox heads from that era - they sound very, very good.

It's weird cause until like 2 years ago you could get a head and cab for like $500-700 and now they have almost tripled. If I were still into big loud amps I'd still really want one.

There’s one big Univox that looks like that listing - I think its a UX model - that was used by Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Wino. I think it’s different from the others but not sure how. I was just always on the lookout for them when they were cheaper.

UX1501 might be the one you’re thinking of? It’s sort of similar to a sunn model t, ultralinear power section etc. Super rare, I don’t think those ones have ever been cheap.

The Marshall-ish ones still sell here (Toronto) for well under $1k. I think Peter got both of his in the last couple of years for around $500CAD - a 100W and a 50W.
